We're super excited to welcome Pamela to The International Bunch who joins us as our new in-house Marketing Administrator. We caught up with Pamela in her first week to chat about her experiences.
Do you want to start off by telling our readers a bit about yourself and your professional background?
I am a graduate of Liverpool John Moores University and hold a Masters degree in Digital Marketing. I am interested in discovering elements of psychology in marketing and decided to write my graduate work on the influence of online reviews on the purchase decision of perfumes.
In terms of my previous roles, I was a Marketing and Communications Assistant with Metis Skills and Careers. At this company, I improved my content creation skills and learnt how to work both independently and in a team.
Moreover, I have experience as a Digital Marketing Coordinator with the JACKPINE Charity. It is a new charity planting trees and creating new green spaces in the UK. In this role, I was given an amazing opportunity to improve my marketing skills by, for instance, developing a marketing plan.
What excites you the most about your move to The International Bunch?
It is exciting to work with people who have extensive professional experience. All team members of The International Bunch are nice and helpful which creates a positive work environment. As the mission of The International Bunch is undoubtedly distinctive in the industry, being part of this company will be an interesting journey to get to know more about, for example, scholarly communications.
Finally, outside of your working life, how do you like to spend your time?
I love spending time with my daughter. We usually go for a long walk together and observe birds (I am pretty sure my child will be an ornithologist in the future!).
Besides, cooking has been my passion since my childhood and that is why takeaways do not exist in my home. Moreover, I enjoy reading articles about healthy lifestyles. Exploring the impact of food on both our mental and physical health is incredibly interesting to me.
